Salma joined Gulf Bank in February 2013, as General Manager, Human Resources
Prior to joining the Bank, she spent 10 years in the Kuwait Oil Sector in various HR positions until she took the key role at the mother company KPC for the establishment of the Center for Leadership Development as its Director where its main focus was on the development of oil sector executives in Kuwait. Prior to that Salma worked in HR at Gulf Investment Corporation for 14 year.
She brings with her many years of diversified HR experience and has been responsible for disciplines including designing programs for development, assessment, identification and succession planning in addition to being involved in numerous change management initiatives. Salma won the MENA region 'HR Executive of the Year' Award at the Human Assets Expansion Summit held in Dubai 2014. She is a member of the Arabian Society for Human Resources (ASHRM) board of trustees, the Advisory Board of college of Business and Administration of GUST as well as board member of INJAZ a non-profit NGO dedicated to the development of the youth.
Salma has a BSC in Mathematics from Kuwait University and a MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.
